Here’s everything you need to know about Getting to the Gate for our Go Green fixture as Gallagher Premiership leaders Northampton Saints visit on Friday, March 22nd (7.45pm KO).
You can find out more about our Go Green activations here.
CLEAN AIR ZONE – NOW LIVE
Bristol’s Clean Air Zone (CAZ) is now live and fans are encouraged to check whether they will be affected. Non-compliant vehicles will be charged between £9 and £100 per day to drive through the zone in central Bristol.
Although Ashton Gate itself sits just outside of the zone, some roads near the stadium are within it and thus we encourage fans to carefully plan their journey.
Full details on the CAZ including maps, a schedule of charges and a vehicle compliance checker can be found at www.cleanairforbristol.org/caz.
MATCHDAY BUS
We will be running an enhanced matchday shuttle bus service that operates as follows:
- AG1 Portway Park & Ride (via Portway) – approx. every 10 minutes
- AG2 Brislington Park & Ride (direct service) – approx. every 15 minutes
- AG3 Temple Meads (via Broadmead and the centre) – approx. every 12 minutes
As part of our ‘Go Green’ game and Project Whitebeam, the AG3 service from Bristol Temple Meads via the city centre will be free of charge for this fixture.
All services drop-off and collect from Winterstoke Road, outside Ashton Gate. Full details including route maps, timetables, pricing and ticket information is available at Getting Here – Bristol Bears Rugby.
Due to the high attendance, services will be very busy at peak times and we highly recommend getting the earliest bus service possible to avoid delays.
CYCLING
As part of our ‘Go Green’ game we will also be hosting another free Dr Bike session in collaboration with Bristol City Council. Fans will be able to get free minor repairs on their bikes at the cycle stands, near the South Stand turnstiles.
A qualified cycle mechanic will work before kick-off and throughout the game to work on as many bikes as possible on a first-come first-served basis so fans wishing to take advantage are encouraged to arrive early.
Each bike will receive up to 30 minutes of TLC. The mechanic will perform safety checks and carry out essential repairs such as fixing breaks, mending punctures and tuning gears. The team will also give you a ‘prescription’ with details of any larger works which need to be taken to a local bike shop for full repairs.
Please see here for more information on where to go.

WALKING
For supporters travelling on foot from around the city, check out the Ashton Gate walking map to make your trip to the stadium more interesting. For the map, please click here.
Fans walking or cycling from the city centre and harbourside are advised that Vauxhall Bridge is closed for repairs. Gaol Ferry Bridge and Bedminster Bridge remain open. Full details visit Restoration of New Cut bridges (bristol.gov.uk).

RAIL
There will be an additional service departing Parson Street station at 22:26 towards Taunton, calling at Nailsea, Yatton, Worle, Weston Super Mare and finally Taunton.
